What We Believe

We want you to see that God loves you and has a purpose for your life. Please watch this video from Pastor Mike Bickley.

Our Core Convictions

The Bible
  • The Bible is God’s special revelation to mankind. Because of who God is, we believe the Bible to be inspired, without error, and the final word of authority in a believer’s life. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-20

The Trinity

Creation/Sin
  • Man was created in the image of God to bring Him glory. However, the very first man and woman sinned and incurred death—not just physical death, but also spiritual death. Since Adam and Eve, all humans have been lost and born with a sin nature and live sinful lives apart from God. Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:10-19

Jesus Christ
  • Because of His love, God sent His son Jesus Christ to be our Savior and Deliverer and Redeemer. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of virgin Mary, and lived a sinless life. Luke 1:34-38; John 1:1,18; John 3:16-18; John 4:6
  • Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Scriptures. We believe Christ arose bodily from the grave, that He ascended to the right hand of the Father, and that He is presently making intercession for us before the throne of God. 1 John 1:9; 1 Corinthians 15:1-6; Acts 1:9-10; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Timothy 2:5

Salvation
  • Everyone who trusts Christ as their Lord and Savior will receive forgiveness of sins and experience eternal life. All who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. John 3:1-16; John 1:12-14; Romans 6:23
  • Genuine Christ followers can be secure that they will spend eternity with God in heaven. Salvation is God’s work on our behalf, not based on any good we have done. All we do is respond to His gift by faith. God is the one who changes us. Therefore, it is impossible to be born into the family of God and lose one’s salvation. John 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-38; Ephesians 1:13-14

Heaven/Hell
  • The Bible declares throughout that there is both a heaven and a hell. We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of those justified by Christ unto everlasting blessedness. And we believe there will be a resurrection of the lost apart from Christ unto everlasting punishment. Revelation 20:11-15

Baptism
  • Everyone who has become a disciple of Jesus Christ should be baptized as a public declaration of what Christ has done for them. Acts 8:36-39; Acts 10:43-48

Communion
  • We believe that the Lord’s Supper should be celebrated as a regular memorial for believers until He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-32
